In December, we were saddened to announce the passing of ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍø’s Life Patron and Honorary Graduate, Lady Elgin.
Lady Elgin served as Pro Patron of our institution from 1993 to 2006, and subsequently as Life Patron until her passing. In 2000, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of her personal contributions to the University.
Many graduates and staff will have fond memories of Lady Elgin, in particular, her graceful presence at graduation ceremonies in the 1990s and early 2000s. Her service to the University forms an important and enduring part of our institution’s history.
