Marc Robertson (BA(Hons), MSc) is Associate Head of Division, Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for MSc International Management and Leadership and MSc Healthcare Management. Marc has worked in online education since 1998 and has a background in ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍøing vocational and academic programmes, often for national governments.

Marc has an extensive background in hospitality and tourism management, both as a practitioner and within the education sector. After holding management positions with Relais & Chateau, the Townhouse Company and in pub and restaurant management, Marc moved into the area of hospitality and tourism education.
As Scottish Manager for the National Training Organisation for Hospitality, and then as Head of Nations for the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism, Marc managed extensive research and ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍøment projects for vocational training programmes across the UK, such as Modern Apprenticeships, National Apprenticeships, Vocational Qualifications and Occupational Standards.
More recently, Marc ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍøed expertise in Scottish and National Alcohol Licensing Law and Training and has written several industry text books and training programmes on the subject.
Currently Marc is Associate Head of Division for ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍø Business School with a specific responsibility for Postgraduate education and ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍø Online. Outside of this, his areas of academic interest include alcohol licensing, alcohol education research, vocational award ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍøment and national and international curriculum ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁϱ¬ÁϹÙÍøment within hospitality and tourism.
Research areas include vocational education, alcohol policy and education, cost benefit analysis of education-based vocational training programmes.
Teaching areas include consultancy, macro-environmental factors that impact business, sustainability, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Leadership and Management.
